Tip: add ice to reach your target temperature; a beach ball under the cover stops rainwater pooling on the lid outdoors.

Good to know

• Start slightly warmer and for shorter dips, then lower the temperature and extend the time gradually.
• Never plunge alone or after alcohol, and get out straight away if you feel numb or dizzy.
